5th Annual RexRun

 At the heart of the 5th Annual RexRun for PAWSitivity is a powerful purpose: to inspire hope, promote mental well-being in children, and strengthen the bond between our community and the K9s and Officers who protect it. 

Join us for a day of fun for the whole family

  

On September 6, 2025, at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds, we're bringing together families, law enforcement, and local businesses to create a safer, healthier future - one step at a time!



RexRun For PAWSitivity 5K Trail Run/Walk

Join  us  for  a  fun  filled  day  focused  on  physical  &  mental  wellness,  family, fun and our furry friends.


Dog & Family Friendly Activities  include:

  • 5k trail run
  • 5k trail walk
  • 1 mile kids run
  • Kids obstacle course - Sponsored by FitRepublic  Southlands
  • Pancake Breakfast - Sponsored by FOP Lodge 31

Don't want to run? be a volunteer!

Rex can't do this alone and our Volunteers make Race Day come off without a leash!


Sign up to be a volunteer and help us shape this Pawsome day for everyone involved. Volunteers receive a commemorative race day T-shirt and pancake breakfast for their assistance.


Deputies and K9s we support

Deputy John Gray & K9 Rex

Deputy John Gray and Rex are Arapahoe County Sheriffs Office School Resource Officers,  assigned to Littleton Public School District elementary schools. 


Rex is a black Labrador Retriever, who is a trained and certified Therapy/Explosive detection/Tracking K9.  Rex loves spending time with people, loves to play and most of all loves to work!

Deputy Adam Nardi & K9 Riley

Deputy Adam Nardi and Riley are Arapahoe County Sheriffs Office School Resource Officers assigned to Cherry Creek Public School District elementary schools.


Riley is a black labrador retriever,  trained and certified Therapy/Explosive detection/Tracking K9.  Riley loves to play with his uncles Rex and Zeke.

Deputy Travis Jones & K9 Zeke

 Deputy Travis Jones and Zeke are Arapahoe County Sheriffs Office School Resource Officers assigned  to Littleton Public schools at Newton Middle School.


Zeke is a black Labrador retriever, who is a trained and certified Therapy/Electronic detection dog.  Zeke likes to hang out with his brother Rex and work for treats .

Deputy Candace Gray & K9 Bear

Deputy Candace Gray and Bear are Arapahoe County Sheriffs Office School Resource Officers assigned to Cherry Creek Public School District Elementary Schools.  


Bear is a chocolate Labrador Retriever, who is a trained and certified Therapy/Explosive detection/Tracking K9.

Deputy Drew Matthews & K9 Otis

Deputy Drew Matthews and Otis are Arapahoe County Sheriffs Office School Resource Officers assigned to Byers High School/Deer Trail High School. 


Otis is a black Labrador Retriever who is trained and certified Therapy/Explosive detection K9.

Sheriff’s Office Patrol K9 Unit

RexRun and Back the Blue K9 Force also support the Patrol K9 Unit at the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office. These dedicated K9s and their handlers patrol communities in Arapahoe County, helping keep citizens and deputies safe.


Nuke, Bodhi, Rust, Voq and our newest K9, Grimm are all trained in a variety of disciplines to include apprehension, finding drugs, explosives and other evidence. They also have a brand new cousin currently in training who we cannot wait to introduce!
